DIVING
I asked Rico about his Cayman diving experiences and he sent me the very cool recap. "I have dove both. Grand Cayman: I dove by the turtle farm on Seven Mile Beach on the west side. (One of the resorts said that was the best place to go for a beach dive). The dive was great. Cayman Brac was better and we even spent one day diving Little Cayman. Bloody Bay Wall was the highlight. This wall was rated by Jacques Cousteau as one of the top 5 dive sites in the world!. I have read numerous articles that say the East Side of Grand Cayman is the best. But you are right, apparently it can be rougher. I always thought that when I go back that I would stay and dive with one of the resorts on the East side of the island. (They dive the north side from there as well). Not very developed compared to the West Side. A good thing if you want to avoid the tourist trap and crowds. Rico" Sounds cool! Lisa
I asked Kim about his Cayman diving experiences and he sent me this brief recap. How did you like it? "Nice place to stay." What should we definitely not miss? "There is a nice shore wreck dive starting from the hotel that is not bad for a extra dive. Also we did a night dive same place that was a good add on to the boat dives. Favorite boat dives were the "Texas Hole" and the "Royal Palms". Great vis. Kim" Sounds like some site we don't want to miss! Phil
