GRAND CAYMAN Information!
Grand Cayman, Sunset House Accommodations
Courtyard Rooms
One of the most popular rooms for "cost conscious" guests
that we have to offer is the Courtyard Room. These rooms
have a walk-in patio door and come with 2 double sized beds
and cable TV. All of the rooms at Sunset House have data
ports in the telephones.
Shore Entry
Sunset has something on Grand Cayman that many places do not. That something is our very own - on the property - don't have to go anywhere but here - world class - shore dive. When your done the morning 2-tank dive on the boats, unlimited shore diving is part of all dive packages. You can have lunch at "My Bar" and get right back out into the water. On the other hand you can get in some spectacular night dives and for the early risers, the sunrise dive is amazing. No matter when you want to dive, the dive site is exactly one giant stride away from shore. We have a great sand-chute right at the entry point where you can sort our any bouyancy issues and then it is off into the underwater world. Once your in the water we have several resident turtles, a couple of eels and even a Manta has been seen on occasion. The dive shop will have a site map for you to look at before diving and guided dives are offered for anyone that would like a little moral support on the first dive back. The sites major landmark, or watermark in this case is the Wreck. The wreck of the Nicolson is several years old now. The truth is it has had the top knocked off in a storm. The wreck continues to attract all kinds of new life and is home to a great big Green Moray eel. Beside the wreck you will find ballast from another old wreck and a huge cannon from days gone by. So no matter what you are looking for your probably going to find it on the shore dive. Therefore, Sunset House in Grand Cayman is a really neat place for diving and photography.
Non-Diving activities on Grand Cayman
If you don't dive or if your just looking to take a day off from
your dive package....don't worry.
Sunset House has great snorkeling, a great bar and a great pool as we have mentioned. If your looking to go for a tour, Grand Cayman as an Island has some great things to offer. The front desk of Sunset House can help you get a rental car for the day or week so you can do the Island tour when the time comes. When your ready to go we have Island maps right in the lobby along with a whole rack of pamphlets showing you where to go on your tour. If you want any other suggestions feel free to ask any of the staff at Sunset House.
