We are 23
That's right we are 23 strong. We have 17 from Boise, 3 from Sacramento and 3 from Philadelphia. Vicki is going this year to take care of top side activities (shopping, etc) and is a non-diver. Therefore we have 22 divers and the boat holds 24. We will then be able to dive as a semi quasi group.
For your pleasure, we have invited two guest speakers to present more
up-to-date information on Habitat Curacao at our Oct 2, 9 am, get
together in Boise. For details check
Guest Speakers!
We are offering the DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries class on Oct 2, from 12 noon to 5 pm. The majority of the Boise folks have taken this class so a free refresher is warranted or sign up for the class and we will include the Remote Emergency Medical Oxygen (REMO2) class as a bonus.
The management of the organization along with Knob and I have decided to provide each of you with a t-shirt commemorating this adventure, so I need t-shirt sizes, sooner than later. NOW actually.
I will need two photographs from each of you for your specialty certification. You may bring them with you.
The resort has nitrox (EANx) and I plan on diving nitrox almost exclusively, if you are interested in trying nitrox let me know, if you are interested in taking the nitrox class let me know.
If I don't see you before I will see you on the 9 or 11th.
More information as we get closer. If you have any questions, let me know. According to my calendar, we are at 34 days and counting down.
Passports, immunizations, last minute items need to be gathered, servicing your regulators and cameras need to be done SOON. We recommend a Polartec type fleece or 3mm wet suit for this location. Especially if you are planning on diving much.
If you get Rodale´s Scuba Diving magazine (thanks John) check out
September 99 pages 54 - 57 or their web page at
Rodale's Scuba Diving Magazine Article on Curacao!!
We will also be doing a PADI wreck diving specialty while we are in the neighborhood, let me know.
