From: Habitat Curacao-The Freedom Journal Hi Phil,
THE "FREEDOM JOURNAL"
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Especially when your home is Habitat Curacao! And while the Freedom
Journal's chief correspondent may have been off in some far-flung corners of
the globe for the past 6 weeks, the fun in the sun continued right here in
Curacao. In fact, many savvy travelers come to Curacao in the summer to
escape to escape hot, sticky, summers in their city and enjoy our fresh
island breezes, uncrowded beaches, and superb diving conditions. Just ask
the fine folks from Arlington Scuba and Scuba Quest who brought groups here,
and the many individuals from the US, Canada, Germany, England, Switzerland,
Holland, and Venezuela.
IN REVIEW...
Guests at Habitat Curacao during August had a sensational time with Photo
Pro Chris as he shared his tricks of the trade and excitement for underwater
photography throughout our special "Photo Month." (Of course he does this
all year too.) He was also joined by well-known 3D photographer Ed Jamieson
who stopped by to treat us to an amazing slideshow which literally had fish
jumping out of the screen! Chris and Ed are currently working on a way to
present a 3D slideshow UNDERWATER. We'll let you know how that comes along.
IN PROGRESS...
Swinging our way through September, it's "Nitrox Month" offering 1/2 price
Nitrox instruction and tank fills. For added convenience a nitrox tank
storage area has also been built on the dock so now you won't have to run up
the stairs to analyze your mix each day. And finally, we're also cleaning
our camera lenses and checking our divelight batteries in preparation for
the start of the Coral Spawning on the 1st of October. Local TV stations
have been giving the event alot of coverage already.
UPCOMING...
October 1-3rd- Coral Spawning Event with contests, special night dives, and
the chance to participate in the research of Reef Care Curacao.

you're right we'll enter your name into the draw to be held at the stroke of midnight during our Millennium New Year's Eve Party. If you're wrong, try
again. Only one entry per person is allowed per month, but each newsletter gives another chance to win. Just to make it even more fun, if you are the

The reflection from your lovely gold chain,
really doesn't affect my brain.
Sharp teeth or not, if truth be known;
I prefer to leave divers alone.
I'll hold still and stare at you hard,
'Cause after all, you're in my yard!"
